This unusual complex comprises of a number of separate buildings scattered within the steeply sloping gardens built of typical local stone and furnished according to local custom. The philosophy of the owner is that bedrooms should provide comfort rather than mere sleeping accommodation, therefore all the rooms are in fact suites with a good sized living area, comfortable armchairs, and space. The main building contains a restaurant that prides itself on a wide variety of menus regularly changed. In summer it is possible to eat outside. Above is a large comfortable bar with piano and entertainment most Saturdays. The 17 suites each have a kitchenette and simple self catering (two rings and a fridge) can be backed up with the ability to "takeaway" from the Restaurant. An extra bed can be provided on request. Central heating is featured but no air conditioning. There are a number of family suites that include a mezzanine floor with a low ceiling which is ideal for children. Some apartments have an open fire and logs are provided free of charge. As peace and tranquillity are the watchword, no TV or radios are featured in any of the apartments, although TV is available on request (provided you do not annoy your neighbours!). At the time of writing the owner expecting to provide a multi-media room, sailing in a whaleboat, Chinese meditation classes and accompanied walking tours. The hotel provides mini bus transfers from the airport or port. Our
