Situated about half a mile uphill from the centre of Madalena, this recently extended hotel is in two parts. All 69 rooms (including 2 junior suites) are air-conditioned and have hair dryers and cable TV. The main entrance and reception area features a wood burning stove. The circular breakfast room with buffet, overlooks the sea at the end of the East wing. There is a delightful bar below a pleasant Restaurant which has a covered area for alfresco eating. Other amenities include a pool, a Health Club with sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi.

Opinion
The old Residencial Pico has been vastly
extended and improved to form the Hotel Pico. We particularly liked the
newer superior rooms which are spacious and have good views.
