Situated on the edge of the sea, adjacent to a small beach in a sheltered inlet, the Casa Capelinhos consist of a beautifully restored collection of ancient stone buildings converted to rooms with simple kitchens allowing limited self catering.

Behind the buildings is a huge area of land over which narrow paths wind amongst flowering shrubs and indigenous plants.

A large fresh water pool is surrounded by grass with sunloungers and parasols.

Whale and Dolphin watching trips can be arranged with a pick up and set down from the adjoining beach.

Our Opinion
Not inexpensive but what extraordinary experience ever is? The surroundings, the black rock and the sea create a wild backdrop to this oasis of peace and tranquillity. One can swim in the pool or off the beach, walk the hinterland or even climb Pico itself! Only suitable for those who do not want nightlife and hoards of people!
