Hotel São Jorge is situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the village and has a comfortable bar and a spacious breakfast room which overlooks the pool and a hundred or so yards of open pasture land to the low cliff top and the sea beyond with Pico in the distance. Each room has a small balcony with a sea view, private bathroom and WC, telephone, piped music and television.

Opinion
Simply but tastefully furnished and with most helpful staff, this quiet
hotel whilst not having the facilities one expects of a resort hotel
nevertheless offers a peaceful and relaxing ambience and would comfortably
accommodate one not only for the length of time necessary to absorb the
features of São Jorge but also for a further period of relaxation.
