AZ611 Hotel Canadiano  ***R

In the heart of Ponta Delgada, about 8 minutes walk from the main square on the sea front, the Hotel Canadiano has 50 rooms on two storeys and is shaped like a square horseshoe with an archway leading from the road to a parking area and garden in the hollow centre. 

The bedrooms all face into this central area and are thus quiet and away from the noise of traffic. The bedrooms are exceptionally large for a three star hotel, are simply but pleasantly furnished and each has a fully equipped bathroom. 

Facilities include a tennis court, and large bar and restaurant.

Our opinion
A pleasant hotel, centrally located and an ideal base for seeing the Island: not a resort hotel but one in which one can comfortably spend a few days.
