AZ606 Hotel do Colegio ****
Situated in a narrow street in the centre of Ponta Delgada, this historic 19th Century building, which previously housed a private school (a Colmeia) and later as the Regional Conservatory of Music, has been converted sympathetically into a 55 room boutique style Hotel.
All rooms have mini-bar, air-conditioning, internet connection, safe, trouser press hair dryer. Hotel amenities include a small outdoor heated pool, a fitness suite, sauna and steam room and the restaurant "A Colmeia".
Our
opinion
A pleasant hotel, centrally
located and an ideal base for seeing the Island: not a resort hotel but
one in which one can comfortably spend a few days.
