Maia

Situated in Maia on the north side of the island, it has six rooms in the main house, each slightly different but all with full bathrooms. The four rooms in the annex (situated across the garden from the main house) have shower rooms, all en-suite. Communal rooms include a very large and comfortable furnished sitting room, a large formal dining room with a massive table, the "coshinha antiga", the old kitchen, is where normal meals are taken. 

Three course table d’hote dinners can be offered (which include wine and water), breakfast is normally taken in the old kitchen in winter time – in summer it is eaten outdoors. There is one family suite with a second small bedroom off. 

Other facilities include a quarter size billiard table, a bar, swimming pool and chapel.

Our opinion
Overlooking the town of Maia and the sea beyond, within walking distance of restaurants and the sea, a delightful location.
