A modern and efficient hotel with its length at right angles to the sea front road, most of the small but well equipped rooms have a side sea view. Well positioned in the centre of the town. Rooms in the back of the hotel are very quiet but have unedifying views.

A very comfortable City Centre Hotel with excellent leisure facilities and a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect as a "stay put" venue or as a base for touring the Island and enjoying the City atmosphere.

Quite and comfortable, this pleasant boutique style Hotel which retains the original façade of the old building, is well placed for short or longer stays.

We dined twice in the Restaurant and only the second occasion realised that there was a Pensão attached.  The meals were very good indeed (try the Steak Alcides!) and the rooms, whilst simple, are clean, tidy and very acceptable.

A fascinating and very different Hotel; here one can walk, play golf, swim, play tennis or wander through the amazing botanical gardens. Although it appears on many excursion programmes just as a lunching point, the peaceful ambience of the Hotel and the superb service offered together with the activities provided, justify a week or ten days visit in its own right.

A simple manor house offering homeliness rather than luxury. In the depths of the countryside, with plenty of livestock including dogs, ducks, geese, pigeons etc., we particularly liked the pool and the shaded patio overlooking it (which is part of the 2 bedroomed apartment). Delightful!

Overlooking the town of Maia and the sea beyond, within walking distance of restaurants and the sea, a delightful location.

This delightful complex is an oasis of peace and tranquillity where only the noise of the sea and the calls of sea birds break the silence. It is ideal for walkers, for those who fish from the rocky shore, and for those seeking a serious "get-awayfrom- it-all" holiday. The owners have spent many years in Canada, are extremely hospitable, speak perfect English and are intimately concerned with the day to day running of the establishment. The Diving Centre is very professional. Very highly recommended.
