Totally refurbished and upgraded, this old Hotel (built in the early 70's) has also been extended into the next door property and now provides 120 rooms including Junior and Senior suites each with private facilities, air-conditioning,hair dryer, telephone and cable TV and many overlooking the Praca Velha in the centre of town.

Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, Health Club with gymnasium and weights room. A Restaurant, bar and lounge complete the picture.

The new wing contains the Junior suites (some on 2 floors with a mezzanine floor which houses the bedroom).

Our Opinion
The refurbishment and expansion of the Hotel are a vast improvement and have turned what was a strictly businessman’s hotel into much more of a resort hotel.

The rooms to the rear and indeed the Restaurant and gymnasium, overlook the exquisite (public) gardens and are of course quieter.
