Casa do Pombal, House of the Pigeon, is an 18th Century house delicately converted to offer 4 guest rooms each with en-suite shower room.
One pair of rooms (on two floors) are particularly suited to family occupation.
A shaded terrace with wonderful views over the countryside is used for alfresco breakfasts and a grassed area provided for sun bathing.
Temporary Membership of the local Tennis Club can be obtained for guests.
The owners’ horses are stabled about 100 metres away and experienced riders can take accompanied rides out from the farm. Beginners can also receive basic instruction.

Opinion
Tricia
and Miguel are particularly welcoming hosts and their horses will appeal
to horse lovers of all ages. Rooms are comfortable but quite small and
tastefully furnished with rustic style furniture. The location is quiet
and tranquil and the fishing village of Sao Mateus is nearby.
