Calheta Beach is located next to the small beach and marina in Calheta,
with the actual village a 10 minute walk away, and Funchal some 35 minutes
by car. Calheta is still
famous for its grapevine, sugar cane and banana plantations.
• All the rooms are comfortable and modern, equiped with en suite bathroom, cable television, mini bar, hairdryer, air-conditioning and heating and views to the sea or mountain. There is also a health club, 3 restuarants, bar, lounge bar and a pool bar (during summer) • Heated indoor swimming pool.
Our
opinion
Although there is not much to do in the
village, the hotel provides very comfortable accommodation, indoor and
outdoor pools and a health club. The amazing sandy beach and marina have
only recently been completed.
