This new complex is set in spacious grounds and next to the beach (which is reached via an underground passage from the main building), and located some 4 km from the town of Vila Baleira on the South West side of the Island not far from Ponta da Calheta. There are a vast selection of facilities and activities which will appeal to everyone. The journey time by taxi from the Airport to the hotel is between 10 to 15 minutes. 

Hotel Features: • There are 256 rooms including double/twin and junior suites, all with balcony, safe, television, radio, cable television, air conditioning & en suite bathroom • There are also 56 self catering apartments with balcony, cable television, telephone, en suite bathroom and equipped kitchenette • Beach Club on the sand dunes with, bar, restaurant, outdoor swimming pools for adults and children, childrens play ground • Atlantico Restaurant in the hotel, Lobby bar, indoor pool, recreation room, Kids club • Diving Centre • Club Thalasso, a sophisticated Spa installation, which offers a multitude of different treatments (paid locally).

Our Opinion 
By far the largest complex on the Island offering Hotel facilities and self-catering options. The amazing Club Thalasso Health Club is most impressive and is probably the largest facility of it’s kind in the whole of Portugal. A hire car is recommended though not essential.
