These
two recently completed Villas are situated within an electrically gated
compound in the newly developed area of the Village slightly to the
northwest of the centre (but still within walking distance). Miraluz F is
a 3 bedroomed semi-detached Villa with a small garden which contains the
pool. This is overlooked by a covered terrace with fine views over the
village to the sea in the distance. A further terrace houses the built-in
barbeque. The large living/dining room together with the (separate)
American style kitchen and a spare toilet are on the first floor,
benefiting from the views. There is 1 double room with en-suite bathroom
and two further twin rooms sharing a full bathroom on the ground floor.
There is a shaded car port outside. Miraluz N is exactly the same except
that it is marginally larger and has a second double room with en-suite
bathroom.
Our
Opinion
Not exactly characterful, this
large house can accommodate a big party in large airy comfortable and air
conditioned bedrooms. There are stunning views from bedrooms and the pool
area down vine covered hillsides towards to river valley, in fact Casal de
Loivos is one of the most well known and photographed lookout points in
Douro Valley. A great property for the larger party and particularly good
value for money.
