N613 Casa de São Joao    Near Ponte de Lima

Set in a small garden containing orange trees and a swimming pool, this "’60 ’s" style house is set amongst vineyards about 250m from the Autoestrada. The garden also contains swings for children, a built in barbecue and a pool house with shower. The main entrance is up some stairs into the kitchen (with dining area)and access to a large terrace overlooking the mountains, the pool and garden. At this level there are 2 double bedrooms and a lounge/dining room. Down a staircase (with limited headroom) there is a further room with toilet and washbasin and wood burning stove. This room can be used either as an additional living room or as a further bedroom for 2 people. This room has access to the garage, which is available to clients and in which there is a washing machine. Note; heating charged separately in winter. 

Our Opinion
A nice house with very nice pool and garden. A minor irritant may be the distant traffic noise from the Autoestrada but it is comfortable and good value for money. Furnishings are typically Portuguese and somewhat heavy. Proximity to Ponte de Lima is an advantage though there is a simple restaurant and mini-market within 700m. There is horse riding in the area and of course the Ponte de Lima Golf Course.
