This large house is set in substantial area of garden and is surrounded by trees. Quite near the centre of the village and within walking distance of a mini market and restaurants. It is also close to the tramway which runs into Oporto and the airport in one direction and to Póvoa de Varzim with it’s famous beach and Casinoin the other. There are 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms en-suite and 2 single rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs (which doubles up as a games room when not used as a bedroom). Each have access to a shower room. A large, comfortable drawing room with a wood burning stove and flat screen TV leads through French doors to the dining room. The fully equipped kitchen is in rustic style. Outside there is a large area of lawned garden with manicured shrubs, a romantic small fountain as a centrepiece, a dovecote and a rectangular pool. The garden extends to about an acre.

Our Opinion
A large and comfortable house in a large area of land yet very close to Oporto and set in a suburb of Vila do Conde. The owner lives in an adjacent property across the courtyard. We particularly liked the shaded seating area overlooking the pool and the garden. A very pleasant property indeed. Unusually, it is not necessary to hire a car when staying at this villa.
